When you use CoParentSplit, we collect information you provide directly: your email address, display name, children's names and birth years, expense amounts and descriptions, and receipt images you upload. We also collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and device information for security and performance purposes.
We use your information to provide the CoParentSplit service: tracking expenses, calculating balances, generating reports, and facilitating communication between co-parents in the same family. We also use your email to send account-related communications such as magic link sign-ins, monthly reports, and important service updates.
We do not sell your personal data. Your expense and family data is shared only with your linked co-parent within the app. We use the following third-party services to operate: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use row-level security policies to ensure you can only access your own family's data. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can export your expense data from the app. To request data deletion or have questions about your data, contact us at privacy@coparentsplit.com.
We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide opt-out options.
CoParentSplit is designed for adult co-parents. We store children's names and birth years only to help parents categorize expenses. We do not collect information directly from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or within the app. Continued use of CoParentSplit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
